Actichem features its latest grape vine-based ingredient, Resveratrox SD, for skin health and anti-aging benefits.
The active comprises resveratrol derivatives extracted from French grape vines. It is water-soluble, making it easy to formulate. Efficacy tests have proven the skin health and anti-aging benefits of this ingredient, as well as the entire range of Resveratrox actives.
According to the company, at low doses, these ingredients offer efficient anti-pollution properties and stronger antioxidant activity than resveratrol, as shown in keratinocytes. Clinical studies have also shown the ingredients reduce wrinkle depth and rejuvenate mature skin, thanks to their anti-elastase effects.
Forms of the active ingredients are as follows:
- Butylene Glycol (and) Water (aqua) (and) Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Vine Extract);
- Glycerin (and) Water (aqua) (and) Vitis Vinifera Grape Vine Extract);
- Propanediol (and) Water (aqua) (and) Vitis Vinifera Grape Vine Extract; and
- Inulin (and) Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Vine Exract (powder).
De-colored, natural and Ecocert COSMOS versions also are available. The company notes Resveratrol SD was first launched as an extension of the original Resveratrox line in 2019. At that time, it was highlighted for its novel manufacturing process, producing a low-color product to reduce its visual impact on formulations.
