Lipotec’s Study Offers Cold Weather and Wrinkle Treatment

The Antarcticine marine ingredient is Lipotec’s latest in vivo study, which proved its efficacy to fight cold weather.

The biotechnological ingredient not only protects and rejuvenates skin exposed to severe cold conditions, but also reduces wrinkles for a younger complexion.

Study

For 30 days, volunteers with signs of dry skin and winkles spent one hour a day outdoors in cold weather conditions.

They applied a cream with 1% of Antarcticine marine ingredient C on one side of their face and a placebo on the other side, twice a day.

Results

Participants experienced an increase in moisturization after one week, a decrease in the transepidermal water loss (TEWL) level by 12.1% after 15 days and up to 14.7% after 30 days. The red complexion, which results in human skin from being exposed to the cold, was also notably reduced.

Both wrinkle depth and volume decreased by 10.6% and 9.3%, leaving skin smoother at the end of the treatment.
