Based on the topographic control of 10 batches and 34 sunscreen evaluations, the authors concluded the new process had better topographic reproducibility, consequently improving the SPF repeatability and reproducibility in vitro.

Described here is a novel method to investigate the soft-focus effects of powders. It utilizes a handheld, multi-angle spectrophotometer to capture reflectance spectra at various observation angles. Results showed variances in results taken in the trans or “behind the gloss” plane, indicating which powders provide the best light-scattering capabilities.

The versatility of hyaluronic acid is connected to not only its size, but also to inherent opportunities within the molecule for multiple bonds and for the differentiated release of bound functional molecules. Here, ester bonds are used to introduce substitutes for the material’s alcohol groups, thus providing elasticizing, moisturizing and antiaging benefits for skin care.
