Natrue, the International Natural and Organic Cosmetics Association and naturals certifier, recently announced the appointment of a new president and vice president. These leadership changes reportedly mark a significant step forward in the association’s ongoing mission to champion and protect natural and organic cosmetics worldwide.
President: Prof. Florian Stintzing, Ph.D. (WALA Heilmittel GmbH)
Prof. Florian Stintzing, Ph.D., has been elected president of Natrue, succeeding Bernhard Irrgang, Ph.D., (Weleda AG), who has retired following years of service. Stintzing currently serves as head of science and a member of the board at WALA Heilmittel GmbH. Per Natrue, He brings a robust background in scientific research, product innovation and organizational leadership, having previously served as Natrue’s vice president.
A graduate in food technology from the University of Hohenheim, Stintzing has been an adjunct professor there since 2010. He joined WALA in 2007, becoming head of science in 2012 and joining the board in 2014. His deep commitment to natural product standards and extensive industry expertise make him well-positioned to guide Natrue through its next phase of growth and innovation.
Vice President: Jayn Sterland (Weleda UK)
Jayn Sterland, managing director of Weleda UK, has been appointed as Natrue’s vice president. Since joining Weleda UK in 2008 and becoming managing director in 2016, Sterland has established herself as a leading voice in sustainable and ethical business practices. Her commitment to corporate responsibility and her experience in executive leadership and public advocacy will be pivotal in advancing Natrue’s strategic goals in partnership with the president and board.
