Sabinsa Taps Alphons Philips, Ph.D., to Lead Scientific Affairs

Sabinsa recently named Alphons Philips, Ph.D., as its new director of scientific Affairs. A seasoned leader in clinical research, drug and consumer product safety, cosmetovigilance, regulatory data science and claims substantiation, Philips brings extensive expertise in nutraceuticals, functional foods and cosmeceuticals, the company reports.

Intersecting Science, Translating Data

Scientific Depth, Strategic Insight

In his role, Philips will:

  • oversee initiatives to validate the safety and efficacy of botanical ingredients through human clinical studies,
  • support global product development with science-backed claims, and
  • guide GRAS affirmations. 

Holding a doctorate in medical genetics from The International University and an MBA in healthcare management from Sikkim Manipal University, he combines scientific depth with strategic insight to meet evolving regulatory standards, per the company.
