
A Galderma self-administered survey of email subscribers from December 2020 to January 2021 revealed that 63% of respondents are experiencing worsened rosacea symptoms related to wearing a mask.

Overall, 87% of respondents have a rosacea diagnosis from a health care provider and 13% believe that they have rosacea but are not yet diagnosed.
Additional findings from the online survey involving 220 respondents from Canada and Germany revealed:
- 75% of respondents experience more redness
- 72% of respondents experience pimples and/or pustules
- 53% of respondents are experiencing more flare-ups
