Abstract: Imerys launched a new natural mineral solution to impart opacity and whiteness to gel and shampoo formulas. ImerCare Opaque serves as an alternative to oil-derived opacifiers.

An Ecocert-certified, kaolin-based solution was developed by Imerys to confer a creamy opacity and whiteness to beauty care gels and shampoo formulations. ImerCare Opaque (INCI: Kaolin) is the company's latest addition in the ImerCare mineral range

This natural mineral solution is not pH or ionic surfactant sensitive, and can be utilized in any formulation calling for opacity. The recommended loading level is 0.5% to 1.0% w/w, which produces equivalent opacity performance to oil-derived chemicals.
