An Ecocert-certified, kaolin-based solution was developed by Imerys to confer a creamy opacity and whiteness to beauty care gels and shampoo formulations. ImerCare Opaque (INCI: Kaolin) is the company's latest addition in the ImerCare mineral range.
This natural mineral solution is not pH or ionic surfactant sensitive, and can be utilized in any formulation calling for opacity. The recommended loading level is 0.5% to 1.0% w/w, which produces equivalent opacity performance to oil-derived chemicals.
