Petiue SPF Highlighter

Petiue wants to give consumers a "sculpting" alternative to esthetic enhancements with its SPF Highlighter, which pairs UV filters with an illuminating formula.

The full-coverage sunscreen stick is meant to give the illusion of facial contours and highlight, even after it is removed; this is ostensibly due to the dedicated sun protection in the highlighted areas, leaving the skin beneath brighter-appearing.

Intended to work alongside a base layer of sunscreen, the SPF 45-product contains both chemical and physical UV filters, reportedly to protect on two fronts. The brand recommends applying the highlighter to areas users would like to enhance, including the cheekbones, jawline and nose—areas that are also prone to sunburn.

The product is meant to glide smoothly over skin, and includes carrot and coconut to help provide hydration. It has a peppermint scent, and is packaged with trendy yellow accents.
