Composed with natural biopeptides purified to 95%, Peptilium can act transversally on several biological targets due to the richness and molecular diversity of the biopeptides. For example, it can act on skin compartments to reinforce the epidermal barrier function improve the quality of the dermal-epidermal junction and dermal matrix for an anti-wrinkle action.

A targeted transcriptomic analysis performed by Silab has also shown that, out of 34 genes involved in skin homeostasis, 76% are deregulated during aging. However, Peptilium normalizes the expression of 81% of these deregulated genes.

A comparative study also demonstrated the efficacy of the ingredient to be more intense and more rapid than retinol, all while having no side effects.

After 21 days of application at 2% in an emulsion, the ingredient was found to improve the parameters characteristic of complexion radiance in Caucasian (reflection, 12% increase; pink color 17% increase) and Asian subjects (luminosity increased 6%; olive color increased 5%). Under the same test conditions, the active presented anti-wrinkle effects in Caucasian volunteers, decreasing wrinkles by 22%; and in Asian volunteers, decreasing crow’s feet wrinkles by 10%.

According to the company, these radiance-boosting and anti-wrinkle effects intensified after 42 days of treatment and were confirmed by a subjective evaluation. Notably, 100% of Caucasian and Asian volunteers considered their fine lines and wrinkles to be attenuated. A comparative study also demonstrated the efficacy of the ingredient to be more intense and more rapid than retinol, all while having no side effects.

Peptilium is available in an aqueous solution and is recommended at 0.5-2.0% in formulations. The active is 99% natural in origin (per ISO 16128) and is compliant with international cosmetic regulations (Europe, United States, China, Japan, etc.).
