Charles Ross & Son Co. highlights its ribbon blenders, which are available in sizes from lab scale to full production models. Per the company, the machines are built to handle a wide range of bulk densities — from powders, granules and pellets, to grains and other bulk solids. They also can be customized for heavy duty and sanitary applications.
Ross Model 42N-10, for example, has a working capacity of 10 ft3 and is designed for free-flowing materials with bulk densities up to 100 lbs/ft3. The double ribbon agitator is powered by a 10HP TEFC motor and features a solid stainless steel type 304 shaft with heavy-duty ribbon support arms.
The custom blender includes a bag dump/powder filling station per the end user’s preference, as well as a 6-inch tube vent port that attaches to a dust collection system. The base legs offer 56 inches of clearance for an elevated product discharge at the bottom center of the trough.
