Berg+Schmidt recently introduced its Texture & Sensory Compass to support cosmetic formulators in navigating the landscape of textures and sensory attributes. The digital tool categorizes formulation types — from milk and lotion, to cream and butter — while linking them to corresponding sensory profiles.
"...As customer expectations are constantly rising, formulators are faced with the challenge of creating ever newer and more exclusive textures. We want to make this task a little easier with the Compass,” said Sabrina Paltian, senior application technologist at Berg+Schmidt.
Available online since April, the tool has reportedly received positive industry feedback for its accessible and systematic approach to formulation development. In response, Berg+Schmidt dedicated is recent trade show presence to this topic under the guiding theme: “Navigating Through Textures. Guided by Sensory.”
According to the company, this platform highlights a focus on supporting the development of natural products through practical, user-centric tools.
