Ingredient Screener is a tool that allows brands to search Novi’s vetted database of ingredients and see how they compare against over 100 sustainability claims and standards such as EWG-verified, vegan and Clean at Sephora. Brands can develop formulas quickly and confidently, knowing source-level ingredient details before they formulate.

Using the Ingredient Screener, brands can quickly search for ingredients and select standards to see if they qualify. When using the screener, brands can select policies from the following options: all policies, animal, environment, health, international markets, product certifications, retailer list and social.

By visiting the site, formulators can research materials to meet claims and standards, build formulas, find alternative ingredients and sustainable packaging with upfront pricing to bring products to market faster.

“We’ve made it easier for brands and retailers to build safe, non-toxic and sustainable products for consumers,” said Kimberly Shenk, Novi’s co-founder and CEO. “This industry has been so disjointed, which makes it tough for brands to find the ingredients they need that meet the standards and claims of the retailer and consumer demand. With Ingredient Screener, it’s as simple as using two search boxes.”
