Sharon Personal Care Signs Agreement with Botaneco, Expands Portfolio with Hydresia and CapSol

Sharon Personal Care has signed an agreement with Calgary, Alberta Canada-based Botaneco to add to its portfolio, including Hydresia (INCI: Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oleosomes (and) Water (Aqua) and CapSol (INCI: Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oleosomes (and) Water (Aqua). 

Hydresia oleosomes are natural, micron-sized spheres of emollient plant oils and vitamin E found in plant seeds where oleosomes serve as the natural storehouse of oil. They offer multifunctional benefits and provide a balance between natural authenticity and performance, according to Sharon Personal Care. The ingredient maintains a continuous moisture delivery system that is an alternative to chemical emulsifiers and irritating ingredients.

CapSol sunscreen oleosomes can be used to produce creams and lotions. Sourced from safflower seed oleosomes, CapSol has the ability to load sunscreen filters in a way that reduces UV filter levels required for targeted SPF levels, according to Sharon Personal Care.
