Personal care brand Head & Shoulders announced the launch of its new Scalp Care collection, a line of skincare-inspired shampoos, conditioners and treatments. The collection features three regimens for specific scalp needs to reduce visible flakes and repair the scalp barrier.
According to the company’s press release, the new collection targets the root causes of scalp damage in three ways: removing flakes, fighting oxidative scalp stress and restoring the scalp barrier. Further, the collections feature the brand’s proprietary HydraSC+ Complex, built on either salicylic acid or zinc pyrithione.
“This launch marks a bold new chapter for the brand, one that removes dandruff and moves beyond just managing flakes to transforming how hair looks and feels by taking a skincare-inspired approach to common scalp concerns,” said Matt Krehbiel, vice president of Head & Shoulders. “We’re showing people that exceptional hair starts at the scalp through educational content and partnerships with trusted experts and relatable voices in beauty.”
The Scalp Care Collection includes three regimens for specific scalp concerns:
- Scalp Soothe with Niacinamide: Cooling and dandruff itch relief
- Scalp Purify with Salicylic Acid: Removes flakes and oil buildup
- Scalp Restore with Bio-Ceramides: Restores scalp barrier for hydrated hair
The Head & Shoulders Scalp Care Collection is available for purchase at Walmart in the United States, with an expanded list of retailers coming in November.
