Naturex plans to showcase a new botanical extract collection, Eutectys at the 2016 Cosmetagora show in January.
Based on a patented extraction process called Eutectigenesis—which consists of extracting the active compounds of the plant through the formation of natural deep eutectic solvents—Eutectys is composed of six high-definition extracts.
This botanical collection includes olive leaf, saffron flower and horsetail, in addition to a few others. All are well-known for their restoring and anti-aging properties and available for skin and hair formulations.
With this eco-extraction technology offering a natural alternative to conventional solvents, the plant cell’s metabolites are possible to obtain, which helps to also obtain biomimetic extracts with augmented phytoactive profiles and improved performance.
