Croda Beauty Actives recently reported new, more inclusive clinical data findings for its Ameyezing 4.0 bioconcealer, initially introduced in 2024. The ingredient was developed to restore natural brightness and vitality to the under-eye area

Achieving Under-eye Brightening in Indian-heritage Consumers

Previously shown to reduce puffiness, hyperpigmentation and vascular dark circles in Caucasian and Chinese panels, Ameyezing 4.0 (INCI: Butylene Glycol (and) Zingiber Zerumbet Extract) was studied in Indian-heritage consumers, as periorbital hyperpigmentation affects 50% of women, with moderate to severe dark circles.

The results demonstrated that when applied twice daily at 1.5% in serum and once weekly in eye pads, Ameyezing 4.0 provided a significant reduction in under-eye hyperpigmentation. More specifically, the ingredient achieved:

  • a melanin index reduction of 15.9% and up to 83% after 56 days. vs baseline (p < 0.01%); and
  • visible improvements reported in 100% of participants after 56 days, with excellent tolerance.

Eco-designed and Ethical

Ameyezing 4.0 is described as efficient, inclusive and COSMOS-approved. In addition, per the company, it is produced via an eco-designed process, supported by transparent ethical sourcing.
