A recent article from C&T discussed the International Collaboration on Cosmetics Safety (ICCS), an organization formed by BASF, Chanel, Unilever, L'Oreal, LVMH, Shiseido, P&G, Kao, Henkel, Croda, Edgewell Personal Care and more that advocates for animal-free methods in cosmetics safety testing.

With formula testing, and more particularly, animal testing being such a contentious topic in the industry, the ICCS will fund scientific evaluation of animal-free safety assessment approaches, share results with cosmetic and chemical regulators and fund education and training activities in animal-free safety assessment approaches with Erin Hill as president.

Outside of animal testing, there are of course other methods to test products. This made us question:
