BASF Raises EU Prices on Neopentyl Glycol and 1,6-Hexanediol

BASF is increasing the prices for two of its polyalcohols in Europe for the second time since April 2020.
BASF is increasing the prices for two of its polyalcohols in Europe for the second time since April 2020.

BASF announced it is increasing prices for its polyalcohol ingredients in Europe, specifically neopentyl glycol (NPG) and 1,6-hexanediol (HDO), effective since Nov. 18, 2021. This follows a price increase in 2020 and several price increases by BASF throughout 2021.

NPG will increase by 400 EUR/mt and HDO will increase by 1.000 EUR/mt.
