AAK Personal Care was presented the 2014 Award of Merit by PCHi, held Feb. 19-21 in Shanghai, for its Lipex Shea Tris bioactive. Sourced from sustainable shea butter, this concentrate of triterpene esters can restore, sooth and protect skin from environmental stress and prevent collagen break down.
“Shea butter triterpenes are known to reduce the effect of environmental stress,” said Jari Alander, AAK’s technical director, in a company press releases. “Our studies have found that Lipex Shea Tris also protects skin against the damaging effects of UVR that lead to premature ageing.” Suitable for all skin types and a range of product formats, the ingredient improves elasticity and firmness, and can produce a luminous skin tone.
