Top Fragrance Trends to Look for in Beauty

Bell Flavors & Fragrances recently hosted its 2013 Fragrance Workshop at the Chicago Botanical Garden, which focused on the development candle fragrances but also looked at soap and sulfate-free beauty product development. During the event, Mintel analysts discussed fruity fragrance trends in personal care, including: lychee, acai, passionfruit, blackberry, lemon, mandarin, ginger, coconut, tomato and noni.

Ginger, for example is gaining presence in deodorants, possibly translating from international cuisine. Tomato was a huge growth ingredient in 2012, offering many skin-beautifying benefits. Passionfruit, acai and tomato are are expected to be the biggest beauty ingredients and fragrance players to look for in the near future.
