Damage control just got a new contender. Sally Beauty is expanding its innovation pipeline with ion’s newest collection, ion 24K, a four-piece lineup aimed squarely at one of the biggest client complaints in the chair: fried hair.
The hook is a three-minute damage-reversal claim powered by the brand’s TrichoPower molecular technology, designed to help bring hair back to a more natural state from root to tip. According to Sally Beauty, the Rapid Recovery system can help maintain up to 87% of hair’s natural foundation after bleaching, a stat that will get any colorist’s attention.
The collection includes four formulas built to tackle damage, buildup and color prep:
- Rapid Recovery Peptide Leave-In Hair Treatment. A fast-acting treatment designed to help reverse damage in three minutes while supporting hair integrity after bleach services.
- Metal & Mineral Neutralizing Spray. Removes metals and mineral buildup and doubles as a pre-color prep step to help ensure more even color absorption.
- pH Perfector Purifying Shampoo. Removes buildup while balancing hair’s pH. When paired with the Rapid Recovery treatment, it helps strengthen and soften hair in a single use.
- Charcoal Detox Shampoo. Lifts impurities from hair and scalp while helping protect the cuticle and maintain moisture.
The launch comes as hair damage climbs the consumer priority list; 40% of U.S. beauty consumers say repairing damage is a top concern, according to a 2025 study cited by the retailer.
The positioning is classic Sally. The company is leaning into pro-inspired formulas without the pro-only price tag. The brand says shoppers can save more than 60% versus a leading competitor on the Rapid Recovery treatment.
Ion 24K is available now on SallyBeauty.com and in the Sally Beauty app, with in-store availability beginning February 9, 2026.
The company also teased another launch. Sally Beauty says a new ion styling tool collection promising smoother, shinier hair without harsh heat is expected this spring, with details to be announced later.
