Nanoland Materials Inc.’s TiO2-NP-1 (INCI: Titanium Dioxide (and) Sodium Nitrate (and) Sodium Citrate) is a colloidal TiO2 nanoparticle aqueous solution that is clear and non-toxic.

According to the company, the TiO2 nanoparticle can be used as a sunscreen ingredient to provide effective protection against UVA and UVB rays without altering the color of other components. In addition, the product is said to impart antiviral activity for hygiene protection.

The company notes its manufacturing process can produce large quantities to reduce costs. It reportedly uses a green synthesis method and this, along with the nontoxic sodium components, are said to make the TiO2 water solution ready for sunscreens, to replace "toxic" materials.

The company notes that it has another ingredient that functions similarly, TiO2-NP-2 (INCI: Titanium Dioxide (and) Sodium Nitrate (and) Sodium Citrate). The only difference, as pointed out, the first version is a size of 3.5 nm, while the second version has a size of 128 nm.
