AstraForce is a liposomal preparation of Astragalus membranaceus root extract, and the company’s latest studies demonstrate its efficacy for sebum reduction and barrier enhancement. In vitro, AstraForce exemplified a reduction in lipogenesis and an inhibition of lipase activity. In vivo, it increased skin firmness, smoothness and hydration even under stressed conditions. Furthermore, it reduced signs of blemished skin such as sebum, comedones and inflammatory lesions. Finally, it significantly reduced sebum production on the scalp without impairing the barrier function.

The results suggest AstraForce can impart anti-aging and anti-blemish benefits through improved skin firmness, smoothness and hydration while also reducing imperfections, inflammation and sebum flow. Thus, AstraForce is an effective anti-aging ingredient especially applicable for blemish-prone, oily or combination skin.
