NakedPoppy has launched its Smart Ingredients database of cosmetics ingredients catered toward consumers with skin allergies and sensitivities.

The technology produces a detailed map of INCI names as they pertain to allergens and to the ingredient list for each product in its store.

Customers can take a three-minute NakedPoppy beauty assessment to get matched with clean makeup and skin care picks, while having the opportunity to indicate allergies or sensitivities.

The patented algorithm will then pinpoint and remove products that are likely to trigger a customer's selected allergens and/or sensitivities.

Smart Ingredients currently handles 40 common skin irritants in clean beauty, and this list will continue to grow as customers provide feedback indicating which additional ingredients are necessary to consider.
