Yes to Cucumbers Volumising Shampoo is formulated for normal and fine hair. The claims include: soothing and strengthening hair and helping to increase hair volume for healthier looking, shiny hair. The shampoo is a water-based system with surfactants including cocamidopropyl betaine and sodium coco-sulfate, while glycol stearate brings light emolliency and opacity with surfactant-like properties. Glycerin acts as a humectant, moisturizing the hair. Active plant extracts include cucumber, Aloe barbadensis, lemon and green tea leaf as well as vitamin E. These ingredients provide the shampoo with lightly volumizing but mostly hydrating, refreshing and conditioning properties, with an additional antioxidant and clarifying effect.
Caprylhydroxamic acid is a chelating agent working synergistically with the preservative benzyl alcohol. Tetrasodium glutamate diacetate is also a chelating agent; citric acid is used to adjust the pH and acts also as a preservative. Sodium chloride thickens the surfactant system and polyacrylate-32 is a polymer providing luster and long-lasting volume. Additionally, the shampoo contains fragrance.
In my view, the ingredients in the shampoo formula support a mild volumizing function without stripping hair of all its protective oils.
