
The elasticity and foamability of shower gels in relation to their carageenan and glycerin content was the focus of this student poster, presented by An Huynh, of the University of Toledo, at the most recent SCC Midwest TeamWorks event.
According to Huynh, the elasticity of shower gels can be controlled by changing the amount of gelling agent and glycerin in a formula. Her results also showed that water-soluble fragrances were served this application most efficiently.
