Bioyouth-EGT was developed by the fermentation of Hericium erinaceum and Tricholoma Matsutake mushrooms via a process that increases the yield of L-ergothioneine (EGT). This sulfur-containing derivative of the amino acid histidine is described as a uniquely stable antioxidant and cytoprotective agent.
