Kao Corp. has introduced three prestige product innovations across its core brands, Sensai, Kanebo and Curél, each tailored to support the company's global expansion and meet evolving skin care expectations in both Asian and Western markets.

Curél's Carbonated Foam Technology for Sensitive, Dry Skin

Curél is launching an innovative skin care line featuring carbonated foam technology combined with its signature Ceramide Care technology. This new formulation uses carbon dioxide as a propellant to create a fine carbonated foam that helps deliver moisture deep into the skin’s stratum corneum, targeting dryness-induced dullness.

The line includes a Carbonated Foam Serum and a Carbonated Foam Gel Cleanser, designed specifically for dry, sensitive skin. Both products aim to improve skin texture and restore a healthy, hydrated appearance while maintaining gentle care suited for sensitive skin types.

  • The foam serum contains the ceramide-functioning ingredient and eucalyptus extract to help retain moisture, Kao’s High Adsorption Ceramide Care Technology to enhance absorption, and dipotassium glycyrrhizate to help prevent skin roughness. It is said to instantly melt into the skin, leaving it smoother and more luminous.
  • The foam gel cleanser incorporates a proprietary Cloudy Skin Dullness Removal Formula to target sebum and other dullness-causing impurities, and dipotassium glycyrrhizate to help prevent skin roughness.

The new Curél carbonated foam products will debut in Japan in July 2025, followed by a global rollout across Europe and Asia, responding to the growing demand for effective sensitive-skin solutions.

Sensai's Total Form Expert Cream to Sculpt, Firm, Redefine

Sensai launches its most advanced anti-aging cream to date — Total Form Expert Cream — designed to enhance facial contours and skin elasticity. Featuring Sensai's proprietary Koishimaru Silk EX (hydrolyzed silk, acetyl glucosamine) and Total Form CPX complex*, this flagship product targets dryness, sagging and dullness with a luxurious texture that adapts to climate conditions from dry Europe to humid Asia, per the company.

A flexible “Plumping Veil Formula” within the cream creates a sculpting effect while maintaining hydration and comfort. Sensai’s custom application technique along the face, jawline and neck is said to enhance absorption and contour refinement from face to neck. Launching globally in more than 40 countries beginning Sept. 1, 2025, the cream serves as a prestige entry point for new customers worldwide.

Kanebo’s Nature-Inspired Cream Duo: Hydration Reimagined via Vernix Caseosa

Finally, Kanebo has drawn inspiration from the vernix caseosa, the natural skin-protective layer of newborns, to launch two new signature products:

  • Kanebo Cream in Day II and
  • Kanebo Cream in Night II.

Formulated with niacinamide and the biomimetic Taishi Complex (C10-40 isoalkyl acid cholesterol esters, phytosteryl macadamiate, ceramide NG) — a biomimetic ingredient that replicates the vernix’s ability to retain moisture — this day-and-night duo reportedly offers 24-hr moisture retention, wrinkle reduction, brightening benefits and environmental protection.

The day cream features includes SPF 30/PA+++ and functions as a makeup base, while the night cream deeply nourishes and firms skin during sleep.

Set to launch across multiple Asian markets on Sept. 5, 2025, Kanebo is reinforcing this launch with high-profile events and celebrity-driven marketing in Thailand and other regional hubs.
