Courage + Khazaka (C+K) has announced its latest skin testing product, the Skin-Colorimeter Flex CL 440, a successor to the Skin-Colorimeter CL 400 that offers several updates, including:
- Two measuring tips for illumination of larger or smaller portions of skin, pigmented spots and lesions, nails, lips and more;
- A placement aid that lights spots overlapping each other to indicate where the measurement will take place;
- A high CRI (color rendering index) for reproducibility; and
- Sealed electronics and removable tips for hygienic purposes such as easy cleaning.
The Skin-Colorimeter Flex CL 440 is available as a stand-alone device and connectable to an MPA system, a modular device that allows the user to build their own skin care tool by connecting multiple tools.
C+K offers many probes that can be connected to the MPA system, such as the Tewameter Hex, which asseses the Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL), an indispensable parameter for the evaluation of the water barrier function of the skin.
