P2 Science Launches 10 Bio-based Citrosperse Pigment Dispersions

P2 Science, Inc. (P2) has announced the launch of a range of 10 bio-based pigment dispersions under the trade name Citrosperse. The line was developed in collaboration with American Colors, Inc. of Sandusky, OH and marketed by P2. It is built on P2’s Citropol platform, which leverages upcycled forestry by-products from Forest Stewardship Council certified pine trees.

All Citrosperse ingredients are silicone alternative emollients in a paste format with a thick, cream consistency suitable for a variety of color cosmetics. The range of products includes:

  • CitroSperse Yellow Iron Oxide (INCI: Iron Oxides (and) Polycitronellol).
  • CitroSperse Titanium Dioxide (INCI: Titanium Dioxide (and) Polycitronellol (and) Polyhydroxystearic Acid).
  • CitroSperse Red Iron Oxide (INCI: Iron Oxides (and) Polycitronellol (and) Polyhydroxystearic Acid).
  • CitroSperse Black Iron Oxide (INCI: Iron Oxides (and) Polycitronellol (and) PolyhydroxystearicAcid (and) Trihydroxystearin).
  • CitroSperse Red 6 Lake (INCI: Polycitronellol (and) Red 6 Lake (and) Sorbitan Oleate).
  • CitroSperse Red 7 Lake (INCI: Polycitronellol (and) Red 7 Lake (and) Sorbitan Oleate).
  • CitroSperse Blue 1 Lake (INCI: Polycitronellol (and) Blue 1 Lake (and) Sorbitan Oleate).
  • CitroSperse Yellow 5 Lake (INCI: Polycitronellol (and) Yellow 5 Lake (and) Sorbitan Oleate).
  • CitroSperse Ultramarine Blue (INCI: Ultramarines (and) Polycitronellol (and) Polyhydroxystearic Acid (and) Trihydroxystearin).
  • CitroSperse Black 2 (INCI: Polycitronellol (and) Black 2 (and) Polysorbate 80 (and) Sorbitan Oleate).

The Citrosperse product line is part of P2’s plant a forest initiative, in which P2 plants a tree for every kilogram of product sold.
