Nuwen, a France-based contract manufacturer, will reveal three powder innovations for hygiene products during in-cosmetics Global 2023 (for more information, visit booth X57). These include a powder for dilution, a dissolvable tablet and a concentrated powder. The technologies are designed to offer three ways to consume products in an eco-responsible way while keeping the same usage habits and adapting to everyone's lifestyle.

Powder for dilution: The powder for dilution (see INCI below) requires a step of mixing with water during cleansing to obtain a gel with texture and foaming power comparable to ordinary liquid products, the company reports. The product is said to be easily refillable and is supplied ready to use.

Dissolvable tablets: Tab&Care (see INCI below) is a dissolvable tablet comprising compressed powder derived from natural ingredients. It enables the delivery of specific dosages of product. The tablets are added to a bottle of water and dissolve in 24 hr to obtain a classic shower gel.

Nuwen has focused on powder technologies for 35 years. In 2021, the company launched a range of powder hygiene products and in 2022, a dissolvable shower gel tablet. Nuwen aims to offer cosmetic brands a solution to reduce the water footprint of products.
