Optimizing Formula Efficacy at C&T Summit

Numerous tools are available to the cosmetic scientist to evaluate the efficacy of his/her cosmetic treatment. Measured properties can range anywhere from anti-aging treatments for skin to the hold behavior of hair fixatives/styling agents to mascara treatments for eyelashes.

During the Cosmetics & Toiletries Summit (June 26–27, 2014), Roger McMullen will present a hands-on workshop that explores evaluating efficacy and optimizing formulas. McMullen will demonstrate how a relatively inexpensive instrument can be used to carry out a variety of efficacy tests related to problems in the cosmetic industry.

This is one of four workshops through which attendees will rotate to sharpen their formulating skills. Register now—space is limited. Other classes include formulating gel networks, engineering sensory and communicating with Marketing. The presentation of the workshops and conference program are made possible, in part, through the support of sponsors.
