This disclosure refers to a procedure for obtaining plasma membrane vesicles derived from the Brassica plant, which are enriched in aquaporins and other membrane-transport proteins and could additionally contain other substances such as natural bioactive compounds, hygroscopic or chemical agents for pharmacological and therapeutic uses.
Specifically, the methodology for obtaining the plant-plasma membrane vesicles comprises: a) a first phase of stimulation (or elicitation), applying a combined process of both abiotic stress and a bioactive compound to the plant; and b) a second step of membrane vesicle extraction. In addition, the invention relates to a method for increasing these proteins of plant origin.
