[video] Building Product Perceptions

Besides sight, scent is perhaps our most primordial sensory input for survival. As such, it underscores everyday life experiences and our interpretations of them.

Last month, experimental psychologist and Frontiers of Science award presenter Charles Spence, Ph.D., initiated the conversation on crossing such sensory cues to elevate cosmetic product experiences. This month, Gabriela Daniels, of the London College of Fashion, describes a master’s degree project demonstrating just that.

In the following video interview, taken during the 2018 IFSCC Congress in Munich, Daniels explains findings related to fruity vs. herbal scents, and how they impact perceived hair conditioning.
