According to Beiersdorf inventors, richness and slipperiness can be returned to hair via a novel cleansing system based on di-PPG-2 myreth-10 adipate. A new patent application explains.
For many consumers, an essential part of daily care is focused on the hair, and cleansers and shampoos successfully perform their task of removing excess soil and sebum from hair. However, this can leave the hair in a dry and rough condition.
To address this issue, conditioners are used to return richness and slip to hair, as well as glide and combability. Oftentimes, these products include silicones, which are undesired by some consumers and also, according to this patent disclosure, can weigh the hair down. Therefore, these inventors aimed to create shampoo cleansing compositions that do not contain silicones, as disclosed in a new patent application.

It has surprisingly been found that di-PPG-2 myreth-10 adipate provides hair with a conditioning and care effect, as illustrated by easy detangling and wet combing, among other benefits.
Furthermore, according to the inventors, silicone replacements should create foam in a sufficient quantity and creamy quality.
Meeting all of these parameters, disclosed herein is an invention comprising: di-PPG-2 myreth-10 adipate, at least one cationic conditioning polymer, at least one surfactant and water.
