A report conducted by RNCOS expects the Indian baby care market to grow into 2015. Estimated to be US $11.91 billion in 2012, it is forecasted to increase by nearly 17% between 2011-2015. Driving factors include both increasing spending power and awareness about baby health and nourishment.
Shushmul Maheshwari, chief executive of RNCOS stated in the report, "As per our analysis, a high birth rate in India, the rapidly growing Indian economy and the resultant increase in disposable income, along with the changing socio-economic status of women, are the key factors driving growth in the Indian baby care market."
