As of March 2010, raw material suppliers can certify their products under the NaTrue label in the same way as finished product manufacturers.
All certified raw materials will be listed in the NaTrue online database. The database will show the raw material’s percentages of natural ingredients, derived natural ingredients and nature identical ingredients.
According to NaTrue, formulators can use this database to research how a raw material helps them certifiy their end product. Therefore, formulators will be able to adhere to the strict minimum and maximum thresholds for natural and derived natural ingredients, as the database shows how a certified raw material ads up to the overall formulation.
Raw material suppliers wishing to apply for certification can contact a NaTrue accredited certifier. The same processes and criteria apply for end products.
