Elevance Renewable Sciences Inc. has named Steven Mills, former Chief Financial Officer at Amyris, Inc., to its board of directors. Mills has extensive experience in the fields of accounting, corporate finance, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Amyris in 2012, Mills served as senior executive vice president of performance and growth at Archer-Daniels-Midland Company (ADM), a global agricultural commodity processing company. Previously, he served as ADM’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
“Steve brings a depth of experience and understanding in finance and in the agriculture and chemicals industries," said Elevance CEO K’Lynne Johnson, in a press statement. "We are pleased to welcome him to our board of directors. His knowledge is an asset as Elevance continues to supply customers through our joint venture with Wilmar International, and as we expand Elevance’s global production capabilities through our second world-scale biorefinery in Natchez, Miss.”
