Royal DSM is set to host its 2nd annual Safer Under the Sun day following last year's success. The event will run on June 8, 2023 in Washington D.C. at Captiol Hill in the Rayburn house office building and is intended to raise awareness for mitigating the risks of skin cancer and for positive change in in the UV filter industry.

The company will host a panel discussion that explores the need to provide the FDA with additional public resources in order to utilize alternative regulatory methods. Further, guests of the event will include government, congressional and non-profit industry leaders.

Further topics to be discussed include informational statistics, the importance of skin protection and prevention hosted by the Skin Cancer Foundation; trends, habits and practices of sun screen use for consumers hosted by the PCPC; and a new alternative methods program hosted by the physicians committee for responsible medicine.

The event will conclude with dermatologist tips and a live Q&A panel discussion.
