TRI/Princeton will address different types of hair and skin at its conference this November, titled "Variations of Hair and Skin: Ethnicity, Age and Health." The conference, to be held Nov. 1-3, 2009, in Princeton, N.J., USA, will provide the personal care industry with a platform to discuss variations of both hair and skin due to ethnicity, age and health, and approaches to design and market innovative products targeted to treat these characteristics.
The conference will feature lectures and poster sessions.To this end, the organizers have made a call for papers. Topics will include: analysis and quantification of damage; measures of softness, texture, focus, and color; hair growth–day by day analysis and variation; hair uptake of drugs and nutrients; metabolic reactions; biological stress influences on skin health and hair growth; environmental effects on skin health and hair quality; ethnic hair and skin profiling; perspectives in hair straightening; biological and physical differences of ethnic hair and skin types; product performance relative to hair and skin type; and marketing products to different hair and skin types.
Abstracts for oral and poster presentations must be submitted by July 1, 2009. Interested applicants should e-mail their abstract to the conference organizer at [email protected] or complete the abstract submission form on the conference Web site.
