Although it hosted a welcome cocktail reception the night previous, Cosmetics Europe kicked off its General Assembly 2013 with a welcome address by Fabio Franchina, president of Cosmetics Europe, who began the day's open forum by discussing the buzzword sense check.
"Now, I am not normally a fan of buzzwords and jargon; I would rather get on with the business than talk about the latest theory. But the more I hear this phrase, the more it strikes me that for us and for our industry a sense check seems like a pretty good idea. Our industry has been through and will continue to go through a great deal of change," added Franchina.
