Givaudan Unveils White Biotechnology Innovation Center in Toulouse

Givaudan recently inaugurated its White Biotechnology Innovation Centre (BIC) in Toulouse, France. The facility marks a significant step forward in Givaudan’s commitment to developing high-performing, sustainable active cosmetic ingredients that cater to evolving consumer demands.

As part of Givaudan’s biotechnology R&D and innovation network, the Toulouse site will work with its counterparts in Orsay and Pomacle. Equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, including a dedicated fermentation lab and biocatalysis development area, the BIC is designed to accelerate the creation of next-generation beauty ingredients. 

Gilles Andrier, CEO of Givaudan, highlighted the strategic importance of the new center: “...This facility strengthens our global presence and fosters collaboration across our sites, aligning with our 2030 strategy to shape the future of beauty.”

Markus Rassmann, head of active beauty, added, “This Innovation Center is a hub for creativity and collaboration between marketing and R&D. It enables us to deliver original, award-winning ingredient solutions to our customers."
