International Cosmetics Centre A/S (ICSC) has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal for its focus on sustainability.
According to the company, the recently released EcoVadis assessment names ICSC in the top 8% of companies. Notably, the silver rating accounts for the top 15% of companies rated across industries but due to ICSC's manufacturing of vegetable and animal oils, it rated in the top 8%. It also scored 70 points in the "environment" category alone.
How ICSC Supports Sustainability
Among its activities to support sustainability, ICSC:
- invests in promoting diversity, water and energy savings,
- has implemented a zero-waste policy,
- uses 100% certified green energy for its facility electricity, and
- runs its precision climate farming entirely on renewable energy from solar panels installed on rooftops.
Philip G. Shukla, president of ICSC, stated, "This silver medal is a tremendous accomplishment for our company and demonstrates our sustainability practices."
