Cargill Beauty has announced new project leaders, based at the company’s locations in Jersey City, New Jersey, and São Paulo, Brazil.
Mellanie Garner has been named senior scientist, personal care. In her new position, she will be responsible for product safety and regulatory affairs for both North and South America. She brings more than 15 years of experience in clinical safety, toxicology and regulatory affairs to the role. She is based in Jersey City.
Marcelo Belechuk has assumed the role of key account manager/product manager, personal care, in São Paulo. He will focus on targeted accounts in South America, primarily in Brazil, as well as working closely with Cargill business units regarding product supply, logistics and pricing to support customer needs and grow business. He brings more than 15 years of personal care industry experience to the role.
Al Arcelin has joined the company as product manager, North America. In the role, he will be working closely with Cargill business units on product supply, logistics and pricing to support customer needs and grow the business. His background is primarily in manufacturing and bench R&D for new, natural products; he also has experience in technical marketing. He is based in Jersey City.
Darren Gilbert has been named distribution sales & account manager, a role in which he will be responsible for managing Cargill Beauty’s exclusive distribution arrangements, implementation and execution for personal care in North and South America. He will also have some direct account responsibilities in North America. He brings more than 30 years of experience to the position, with a focus on the specialty chemical sector.
