Bio-Botanica Appoints Sysler to VP of Sales

Bio-Botanica Inc. (Hauppauge, N.Y., USA), a leading manufacturer of botanical extracts to the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and natural food/beverage industries, announced the appointment of Mark C. Sysler to vice president of sales and natural products packaging. According to the company, Sysler has been in the nutrition industry since 1996 and has spent much of his time with bulk raw materials and in developing branded materials.

“We are excited to welcome Emily back to lead our legal team and guide our industry’s legal and regulatory strategies,” said Tom Myers, PCPC’s president and CEO. “Her diverse and extensive expertise will be instrumental in navigating our industry’s complex legal and regulatory landscape, enhancing our support to member companies.”

2024 Officers, Directors Named for the Society of Cosmetic Chemists

The Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) named its 2024 board of directors, who will be sworn in at the Annual Meeting, to be held Dec. 11-13, 2023, in New York City.

Established in 2021, the scholarship awards $5,000 to two students of a specific under-represented minority of any gender identity pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a science related field with an interest in pursuing cosmetics.
