The Portuguese Society of Cosmetological Sciences (SPCC), a member of the International Federation of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, is hosting its 2nd Summer School with the Health Sciences Department of the Universidade Lusofona in Lisboa, Portugal on June 22-26, 2009.
The theme for the event will be "Procedures in Experimental Dermatology." This course is aimed to researchers and product managers of the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and chemical industry integrated in the R&D or production department, as well as to professionals involved in marketing. The areas covered will include chemistry, biotechnology, medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, management and marketing. The five-day course will consist of morning lectures and afternoons in the laboratory.
The themes approached in the different sessions are: new trends in experimental dermatology, news in pharmaceutical technology, safety issues, from evidence to lab substantiation, how to get the most efficacy out of your active ingredient and formulation and statistics for all.
On one of the afternoons both participants and speakers will be able to rest from the course and enjoy a social program.
