Symrise has introduced a multifunctional stabilizer for cosmetics that also exhibits antioxidant, soothing and preservative boosting functions. SymSave H (INCI: Hydroxyacetophenone) can protect and stabilize emulsions that prove difficult such as sunscreens, non-ionic emulsions, shampoos and shower gels.
The ingredient also offers an affordable solution for chemists to formulate milder cosmetic products that are well-protected. In addition, the product is a nature-identical ingredient that is FEMA/GRAS-listed. It shows excellent stability at high and low pH levels and temperatures.
