It is a non-greasy, clear and odorless natural emollient with an elegant after-feel and medium spreading. It acts as a solvent for sun filters and a dispersing agent for inorganic sun filters and pigments. The ingredient is presented as an ideal alternative to MCTs typically derived from palm.

SustOleo MCT reportedly contains 100% biobased content, as certified by the USDA BioPreferred Program. It also is COSMOS-approved and approved for use in NSF/ANSI 305 certified personal care products. Finally, the product is listed in the China FDA IECIC inventory.
