Exopolysaccharide Skin Protection

At the NYSCC Suppliers' Day 2010, Unipex Innovations will launch a skin protector derived from an exopolysaccharide of a microbial mat (kopara), which reportedly lives in unique ecosystem near the rims of French Polynesian atolls. 

Exo-P (INCI: Water (aqua) (and) Butylene Glycol (and) Alteromonas Ferment Filtrate) is said to protect the skin against assault by toxic chemicals in urban environmentas by chelating heavy metals on the skin surface. The active also protects skin against sun damage and improves the appearance dull skin. It can be formulated at 1-3% in antiaging, hair care, sun care, after sun and spa products.
