Pilot's Sustainable Surfactant Blend Enables Luxe Cleansing

For luxe cleansing, Pilot Chemical Company has launched a naturally derived surfactant blend for multiple applications.

CalBlend PE (INCI: Sodium Laureth Sulfate (and) Cocamidopropyl Betaine (and) Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (and) Cocamide MIPA) reportedly builds viscosity through the application of salt additives. The resulting creamy lather cleanses and leaves behind a soft and silky finish on skin, according to the company.

The ingredient can be utilized in applications including shampoo, body wash, liquid hand soap and pet shampoo. It is cold-processable, and contains a mild and environmentally friendly preservation system.

CalBlend PE joins Pilot's existing line of CalBlend ingredients. The blend launched at NYSCC Suppliers' Day, held in New York City May 7-8, 2019.
